Office Manager - Business Translator
For as far as I can remember I have always been passionate about languages. Learning new foreign languages was, and still is, one of my hobbies. So I decided to turn my hobby into my profession and started learning languages.
Since I'm more into practice and not really interested in background knowledge, such as the history of a language, I chose to study at college instead of university.
In 2005 I graduated in Office Management - business translating and interpreting for Dutch (Flemish, my native language), English, French and German at Katholieke Hogeschool Limburg, Diepenbeek.
Furthermore I've learned Spanish and Italian through evening courses.
From 2005 until 2018 I was full time employed in an IT company as a Presales Support. At the end of 2016 I started a secondary job as a freelance translator and office worker. Since January, 2018 this is my full time job.
Hobbies & Interests
Besides languages, I also have some other interests:
- walking & cycling
- healthy food &exercise
- yoga & meditation
- domestic animals
- nature & environment
- current affairs
I'm eager to learn and so I'm open to learn new things and learn about subjects that are still unknown to me now.
